Home Improvement

Home improvement is ongoing for most of us. If you own a home that is 20 to 30 years old, or it's been that long since your last upgrade, you are definitely in the renew or upgrade zone. Even if it hasn't been 20 to 30 years, it may still be time for some home improvement. Adding details like crown molding, new trim, or wainscot can completely change the feeling of a room. Removing a wall between two small rooms can create one great space. A new entry door can enhance curb appeal. Upgrading to or adding a maintenance free deck can bring new life to your backyard.

Do you have a backroom, basement, or garage that is unusable, because it is cluttered with all your stuff? This is usually caused by inadequate utility shelving and other storage systems. I can look at your space, do some homework, and send you a written, detailed plan on the appropriate storage arrangement for you, as well as the costs of installation! Need more food storage? I can turn an empty space or existing closet into a pantry.

Here are some examples of my work.

I built these lockers, which include beadboard backing, into the mud room of an historic house.
I crafted the seats out of an old barn board.
I crafted this walk-in closet with pull-out shelves, as well as the pocket-bathroom door.
